The project "TIC Trutnov - Increasing the level of communication quality" is successfully completed

The Tourist Information Center (TIC) Trutnov has completed the project "TIC Trutnov - Increasing the level of communication quality". Its main goal was to modernize the way the city of Trutnov communicates with its citizens and visitors. Thanks to this initiative, our city has acquired modern tools for a better presentation of its rich history, culture and sports.

What did we manage to implement as part of the project?

New visual identity: A modern and easily memorable visual face of the city was created, which unifies all communication towards citizens and tourists. It refers in a fresh way to the local legend of the dragon, which is omnipresent in the city. You can see the presentation of the new visual identity here
Website modernization: The graphics of the TIC website, www.ictrutnov.cz, were modified, which was also linked to the regional calendar of events. Thanks to this, visitors to the eastern Giant Mountains have all the information about events taking place in the region in one place.
A playful guide for families with children: A unique illustrated book with opening "windows" has been published, which reveals fragments of the city's history to children and parents, while also revealing its current face. The book has been published in three language versions.
Tips for trips to the surrounding area: New material has been created in four language versions, which presents the most interesting destinations near Trutnov and motivates a longer stay in our region.
Accessibility for the disadvantaged: A special "barrier-free" city guide is now available for people with reduced mobility. A unique tactile guide with Braille for the visually impaired and blind was also written as part of the project. The guide was awarded the Turist Propag competition as the best tourist guide of 2025.
An experienced team led by the director of the TIC participated in the implementation, in close cooperation with the city management. The project was financed by the State Environmental Fund (SEF), which covered 85% of the costs, and the remaining 15% was paid from the budget of the city of Trutnov.

Total eligible expenses: 1,389,346.81 CZK

Amount of SEF contribution: 1,180,944.79 CZK

Amount of applicant's contribution: 208,402 CZK
Project implementation: Start - March 2023, end - December 2025
