Come and commemorate an important chapter in our history! On the weekend of June 26–27, 2026, Trutnov will come alive with commemorative events marking the 160th anniversary of the Battle of Trutnov. A rich program awaits you, catering to both history enthusiasts and families with children.
Event Program:
Friday, June 26 (starting at 4:00 PM)
• Memorial ceremony – Wreath-laying ceremony – Poříčí Military Cemetery
• Painting of the 1866 memorial plaque and promenade concert – Krakonoš Square
• Mass at the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary
Saturday, June 27 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM) – all-day program at Paradráza in the city forest park
• Battle reenactment – Austrian victory at the Battle of Trutnov
• Performance by cadets with children and a trail with tasks and rewards
• Demonstrations of period weapons and equipment, performance by the Štvanci stunt group
• Cannons and artillery from the War of 1866
• Guided walking tour
